My Why

When starting a network marketing or home-based business, we are often asked to start by determining why we chose to get involved.
For me it's about flexibility, the ability to set my own work hours, the fun of selling and my belief in a company which aims to produce products that are "unparalleled in purity safety and beneficial results."
What else is on my list?
I want to:
-clear my credit card debt
-give my children and husband a dream holiday
-put money away for future businesses
-create a residual income
-work from my home and be available for my young children
What are your whys?

Second Time Around..

My journey began five months ago when I was out with my girls getting milk shake at Chick Fil A.
Soila, being the friendly, outgoing girl she is, picked up a conversation with another little girl in the indoor play area. A few minutes later she was back to tell me that her new friend was exactly the age as my second daughter, Nina. They hit it off instantly and so as they played, we mums got together to chat. We exchanged phone numbers and found we were almost neighbors.
We met up a week or so later when she introduced me to a wonderful line of pure and natural skin care and I was hooked. Then she shared with me the business opportunity.
I had had a previous - and unproductive experience with network marketing, or multi-level marketing as it is also known - so initially was wary. I decided to examine what had gone wrong. My conclusion: I fell for the seduction of flexible time and financial freedom promised by the venture, but was not given the tools of the trade. I did not study the marketing model.
Thanks to a wonderful company and sponsor, this second time is a different experience altogether.
I'd love to hear from other bloggers in the business.

NO, Network Marketing Is Not A Dirty Word

The prejudice against MLM's is wide but unfounded for the most part I have come to see. I never jump into anything without research and what I've found so far has surprised me:
- Network marketing is a legitimate, ethical business model.
- owning a business is one of the best ways to create wealth.
- residual income and the power of leverage is what sets the network marketing model apart and creates a level playing field
- many top companies have incorporated network marketing alongside the traditional retail outlets as a way to market their products.
- It's a business which can be done in flexible time but with unlimited earning potential.
- Is NOT an easy, "get-rich-quick" scheme or a fad that everyone seems to be jumping into, only to be replaced with the next opportunity and promises of great wealth.

I'd like this blog to be a place where I can share with others, encourage others and share ideas.
